Instagram released a new feature called Playback, which is similar to Spotify Wrapped. Instagram Playback displays a summary of the activities that users have created throughout 2021. Instagram hasn’t officially announced this feature, but a number of users have gotten the feature, and are sharing it, such as user and Meta employee, Alexandru Voica. Through its Twitter account, Voica uploaded an image containing a view from Instagram Playback. This feature will automatically appear as a banner in the user’s Feed, with the words “View your 2021 Playback” and a “View Playback” button.
From Voica’s description, this feature will display a summary of Stories that users have uploaded during 2021 on Instagram. To display the summary, the user simply presses the View Playback button. After that, Instagram will compile a carousel from a collection of Stories that the user has uploaded. Voicea said that the feature has been officially released on Instagram as of December 9, 2021.
First, open Instagram, then create Stories. After that, select the sticker with the picture “2021” and upload the story.
The next step is to view the Stories with the “2021” sticker that you created earlier. When you view the Stories, a Playback banner will appear along with a “View Playback” button at the bottom.
Click the View Playback button to see a summary of the Stories you’ve created during 2021. Once clicked, you will be presented with several choices of Stories by Instagram.
